Below are a few examples of jobs where our customers have come to us with a problem to solve and we have left them more than delighted with the results.
We were recently contacted by a local landowner who needed some assistance with his large pond. The contractor who had built the pond had not sealed it correctly and had made no provision for evaporation loss.
We contacted a local specialist in ponds and reservoirs who also advised that the pond did not meet current health and safety regulations.
Within two weeks, using a 5Ton excavator and two 3Ton dumpers, we had completely reshaped the pond and relined it with puddling clay. There is now also a bore hole inserted near the pond to ensure a continuous flow of fresh water keeping the pond topped up and clean.
Geotechnics working in conjunction with Laing O’Rourke and The National Grid needed a 13ton excavator with an operator carrying qualifications to work on a gas pipeline. To further complicate the situation the machine needed to be tracked between sites across tarmac roads without causing any damage.
After assessing the situation and consulting with our training records we supplied an operator with a gas passport on a 13ton machine. We fitted rubber pads to the tracks of the machine so it could travel over tarmac causing minimum disturbance.
Avonvale Construction were demolishing a five bedroom house to make way for a new one with considerable car parking and other hard standing. After a consultation with us we recommended that they utilised our crusher to break down the bricks and concrete footings into manageable aggregate.
This recycled product was then used for various applications around the site which would normally require imported quarry stone. The crushing process took just two days. Not only did Avonvale save time, they saved a considerable sum of money on lorries and tipping charges while also doing their bit for the environment by recycling.
